DESCRIPTION:This session will discuss underlying factors and associated mental health struggles that can contribute to the risk of developing an eating disorder or engaging in self-injury\, address early signs\, when to seek additional support\, and available options for treatment.\n\n \n\nPresenter: Virginia (Ginger) Livingston\, MS\, LPC\, ATR-BC\, ATR-L\n\n \n\nVirginia "Ginger" Livingston\, MS\, LPC\, ATR-BC\, ATR-L\, works as a Therapist at Rogers Behavioral Health adolescent residential Eating Disorder Recovery Care\, she also worked with the adult residential Eating Disorder program. Ginger has experience with eating disorder treatment at the inpatient and intensive outpatient programs at Rogers. She is trained as a Behavioral Specialist and implemented Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Exposure Response Prevention as the dual Therapist/Behavior Specialist in the ED IOP and OCD IOP programs. Ginger assists residents and families as they navigate recovery from eating disorder and co-occurring disorders - anxiety\, depression\, OCD\, self-injury\, and suicidality. Ginger approaches people with curiosity and belief in a person's capacity for recovery. Ginger has also worked with individuals struggling with cognitive and physical disabilities\, and Veteran's in residential mental health.
