DESCRIPTION:The Veteran Organizations of Oconomowoc and Okauchee [Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)\, Oconomowoc American Legion\, Okauchee American Legion\, and the Vietnam Veterans Association (VVA)]\, will hold a ceremony to honor and commemorate our fallen comrades.\n\n\n\n\n\n9 a.m. Saturday: Flags In. Flags will be placed on Veterans graves at area cemeteries. All are welcome to join and help. Meet at the main entrance of La Belle Cemetary.\n\n\n\n10 a.m. Memorial Day: Ceremony at the Rhodee Memorial Band Shell at City Beach\n\nThe parade starts after the ceremony (approx. 10:30 - 10:40)\, from City Beach to the roundabout\, left on Oakwood to the Oakwood Bridge. There will be a Wreath Ceremony at the bridge\, then the parade proceeds to the La Belle Cemetery Veterans Memorial for a brief ceremony\, ending with a rifle salute\, Taps\, and raising the flag to full-staff by noon. \n\n12 p.m. The city will observe a moment of silence at noon\nThere will be refreshments and a social gathering at the VFW following the ceremonies. Brats and hot dogs will be available for purchased\, provided by the VFW Auxiliary
