Many parents express concern about their college aged child using drugs or alcohol. There is good reason for this. According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, four out of five college students will drink during their first year of college. Learn how to proactively parent a college age child, how to recognize substance use and how to respond appropriately.
Presenter: Thomas Marx
Thomas Marx specializes in life struggles, marital/relationship concerns, trauma, grief/loss, anxiety, depression, anger management, men’s issues, personality concerns, and substance abuse. He works with adults, couples, and families and his goal are to connect with each client and empower them to take responsibility to make and maintain positive changes in their lives. He views therapy as a positive and proactive part of routine healthcare. Thomas uses a holistic approach and utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered and Existential approaches.
