Do you love the Oconomowoc Summer Farmers’ Market?  Are you passionate about supporting local farmers, producers, and artisans?  Do you have an occasional Saturday morning open and would like to be involved in the market?  We are hiring for a part-time, seasonal Market Monitor to work occasional Saturdays between May and October. 
 
DATES & TIMES: Occasional Saturdays, May 4 through October 26 from 6:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Bank Five Nine Campus Parking Lot. 155 W. Wisconsin Ave, Oconomowoc.


Market Monitor Responsibilities
The Market Monitor has a crucial role in the success of the market. The Monitor is the on-site organizer and logistics person for the market. They set the tone of the market and are often the first point of interaction with the shoppers.

  • Set-up and take-down, including signage and other market supplies.
  • Check-in and assist market vendors to locate their reserved stall assignments. (Map layout provided).
  • Welcome and greet shoppers as they enter the market.
  • Track attendance.
  • Get to know the vendors and their produce/merchandise.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Oconomowoc Summer Farmers' Market mission and goals.
  • Enforce all policies listed in the vendor handbook.
  • Answers questions about the market and Oconomowoc.
 Qualifications and Abilities
  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs periodically
  • Knowledge of Oconomowoc and the farmers’ market
