Join us for Business Over Breakfast featuring Ted Balistreri, co-owner of Sendik's Food Market. Established by Ted's grandfather in 1926, Sendik’s Food Market has thrived for nearly a century in a fiercely competitive market, by building a reputation for high quality products and exceptional service. Ted will share how keeping their mission of providing an unmatched customer experience has enabled the chain to thrive and grow.
ABOUT OUR PRESENTER
Ted Balistreri co-owns the 18-store Sendik’s Food Market operation with his two brothers and sister. The business was started by Ted’s grandfather in 1926 and has a reputation for high quality products and exceptional customer service.
Representing the independent grocery industry, Ted is a member of the Executive Committee of the National Grocers Association serving as the organization’s Board Chair. Additionally, he serves as the Chairperson of the Department of Research and Education, an industry group.
Ted serves on several charitable and civic boards. He recently completed a nine-year term with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin of which he served two years as the Board Chair. He continues in service to that organization as a member of the Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin Foundation Board. Ted also serves as a member of the Concordia University Foundation Board and is a member of the Ascension Wisconsin Ministry Market Board.
Civically, Ted is a member of the Business Improvement District Board of Directors and a past member of the Community Development Authority in the Village of Whitefish Bay. He is also an executive board member of Food and Beverage Wisconsin (FAB).
A Wisconsin native, Ted received a Juris Doctorate from Marquette University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He resides in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin with his wife and two children.
