This paid internship is posted for the Summer of 2025, estimated start date would be May 1, 2025.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and researching Wisconsin businesses that fit Ixonia Bank’s target profile
  • Keeping detailed records of contact information for businesses he called on through the use of spreadsheets and our Zoho CRM system.
  • Making 20-30 phone calls a day to various businesses in an effort to get a meeting with them
  • Handing off leads to commercial lenders
  • Scheduling and attending meetings made with prospects
  • Support the sales team with administrative tasks and follow-ups
  • Performs and assists with other sales and administrative related duties and special projects and events as required.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: (Competencies)

  • Ability to think both creatively and analytically.
  • Must show an aptitude to learn and work with databases.
  • Must possess proven and polished writing skills; organizational skills; and communications skills.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail; and possess and demonstrate excellent proofreading and writing abilities.
  • Must be able to interact professionally with all levels of Bank Management and Directors.
  • Must exhibit an understanding of, and compliance with, applicable federal and state banking laws and regulations.

Level of Education, Experience or Equivalent:  Current student enrolled or planning to enroll in a sales program or related field.  Knowledge of Banking industry preferred, but not required.

Language Skills:  Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to prepare correspondence, memos, presentation materials, correspondence, etc.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers, vendors and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, ratio/proportions, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Specific Skills:  Must be able to work independently and possess a proven ability to make responsible and sound decisions within defined guidelines and procedures. Excellent computer skills and proven aptitude required in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, & Publisher); Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, & Photoshop) knowledge is a plus; Internet skills and knowledge of website maintenance/design is a plus.
